I fell in love with padel at the worst possible time — while recovering from a SLAP tear.
My shoulder was “fine” on paper. In reality, it was fragile. But I wanted to play. I trusted a salesperson, bought a beautiful, expensive racket… and it was completely wrong for me. Too stiff. Too demanding. Too much for a shoulder that had already been through surgery.
I played through pain.
I made the injury worse.
I kept buying “better” rackets, assuming the flagship model had to be the safest bet.
It’s not that simple.
Pain forces you to learn. I always say there are two people who truly understand padel rackets: top pros… and injured players. Pros chase performance. Injured players chase survival. When something hurts, you’re forced to understand balance, core, vibration, sweet spot — every detail.
What started as frustration became obsession.
PadelJuJu was born from that process. No brand affiliations. No incentives. Just neutral information so you can choose the right racket, protect your body, and actually enjoy the game.
And “JuJu”? I’ve never fully defined it. But to me, it’s that positive energy you feel when everything clicks on court.
I want you to fall in love with padel.
Just not the hard way.
